Disconnect the Western harness plug from the truck low beam light plug and flip it over. Do the same with the high beam. Push plates 7161 and 7169 will fit 2500s from 99-2007 (or whenever the next generation ends I believe). 7161 (from 99-02) are a bit shorter as the bumper in 03 was changed (to be made bigger). I change fluid in pump. It would go up and down with out any blade on it. Once I put blade on it would goo up and slowly dropped by itself. So I kept lifting it up and after about 10 times it held.If the snowplow shovels are used commercially, say used hard for a snow event that may average 3 to 6 hours average use, they will start to break like any other shovel, in time.
