Seconded; the Headrush is great. I have a Helix and the Helix is a bit better than the Headrush equipment. But the Headrush is leaps and bounds above the Line 6 POD stuff, IMO. Another option: the HX Stomps are great. The HX stomp sounds as good as a Helix but has less processing power (and hence can handle fewer effects at once; simpler signal ...The Gigboard has fewer fx, but I would never use all of the helix fx anyway. This unit would be my amp plus pedalboard, I am not a tone snob but I do play metal and hard rock. Size (at least between these two) is a non issue, although I will say I like the bigger size of the headrush more, seems like a proper pedalboard. No deep setting on amps to tweak, fewer models. Helix has more models, more frequent updates, and more settings for pretty much every model. Overall I think the helix sounds slightly better but that's a personal preference. Also, the MX5 has more slots than the hx stomp and an expression pedal if that matters to you. 1.In this video we will share a direct comparison between the POD GO vs HX Stomp vs HELIX LT vs HELIX FLOOR.We will do it with the help of a very detailed comp...13,919. Paying $500 vs $1500+ is a big difference – especially if you don’t really need the extra features the Helix offers. Some people like the FRFR-108 but I found it lacking volume/clarity when used with a loud rock band. If you get one, I think eventually you'll probably want something better. Thanks a lot for the response. The only difference is the size of the woofer. FRFR-112 = 12" woofer. FRFR-108 = 8" woofer. Did you find it helpful? Yes No. This is a commonly asked presale question for Headrush customers trying to decide which FRFR model to purchase.helix is a lot more intuitive to me then headrush. The other headrush units aren't near as sturdy or sound as good as helix. So I'm taking this with a grain of salt. For me personally, I don't need amp capturing or cloning.
