rubicon problems I have a 2004 Honda Rubicon. I have read through tons of threads but mostly no help. This 4wheeler has been giving issue for 10 years. It would constantly go into limp mode. I would reset it. And go on. Over the years I have changed 3 angle sensors. Did this because of the code given. No help and yes I did preload.Just an update: I swapped parts from a good running 2005 foreman rubicon trx500fa to the rubicon that misses and pops in reverse and is stuck in 2nd or 3rd in high and 1st gear in low range. ESP mode on that unit did not work. All I have ever done is adjust the cable to delete it on the newer body style machines. You could grind the little off of the lever and delete it the old way with something holding the lever open. If you still have the rear differential removed, you should be able to turn the driveshaft from the splines and feel the play in the joint. You'll need to remove the swingarm to change out the U joint assembly.One of the keys was to do the reset exactly the way it tells you, and to do it quickly..I also went over every electrical connection on the Foreman, clean them with a brush and sprayed lightly with WD40. I bought mine when it was 20 years old and was able to change the sensor and reset it successfully.. (speed sensor is also new) The problem I now have is that the ATV won’t move.It covers the angle sensor. If you feel qualified, take the cover off and remove the sensor. First clue that it might be bad is if you see "Mexico" stamped into it where the wires connect.
